Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most famous role was as Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other roles comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting in the Preparatory school, after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before attempting TV and movie roles. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she played Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be guest stars on a few TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she was cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler played Martha Bullock as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully, the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn was also on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. The love story with Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
